NDIS Connecting Through Craft Club
Connecting Through Craft: Therapeutic Play for Every Age and Stage
Art and craft is the perfect vehicle for therapeutic growth, no matter the age. Our Connecting Through Craft Club is designed to build essential skills in a supportive, creative environment for toddlers, preschoolers, primary children, teens, and even adults with NDIS plans.
We believe that creation is connection. When participants work on projects, they naturally practice:
-
Social Skills: Turn-taking, sharing space, communication, and working alongside others.
-
Fine Motor Strength: Every activity—threading, cutting, folding, and painting—builds crucial hand strength and coordination.
-
Emotional Regulation: Art is a low-pressure space for self-expression, reducing anxiety around making mistakes and fostering confidence in completing tasks.
Why We Group by Need, Not Just Age
We understand that NDIS needs are unique. We build separate, small groups based on the age range of families who register their interest, ensuring the activities are meaningful and developmentally appropriate for everyone:
-
Toddlers & Preschoolers: Focused on sensory exploration, cause-and-effect, and foundational hand skills. (Duration: 2 hours)
-
Primary School: Focused on fine motor precision, collaboration, and following complex instructions. (Duration: 1.5 hours)
-
Teens & Adults: Focused on leisure skill development, social connection, joint attention, and therapeutic self-expression. (Duration: 1.5 hours)
